Oy, am I ever glad that I opted for the hour of writing, instead of setting out a word count goal. Otherwise I wouldn’t have left the computer for the last couple of days.
I’m in the middle of prepping my store for inventory, so it’s clean, clean, clean. My everything hurts, and my hands are beat up from the constant dunking in cleaning solution. Needless to say, I haven’t gotten much actual work done lately.
I am quite happy with how “Parking Lot Waltz” and “Inner Monologue” have turned out. I’ve checked on them (sorta) the last couple of days. Made a few small tweaks, nothing major. I have this nagging feeling that I’m missing something from “Waltz.” But it’s been several years since I’ve seen the original drafts, so I might just be romanticizing it. It’s one of my favourite pieces that I’ve ever written.
Today, I did the most writing I’ve done since…Monday, I guess. I wrote up a contract for some freelance work. Real creative, I know. But hey, it had to get done.
And now I’m gonna go be a TV zombie, because that’s about all I have the energy for.
(Note: I’ve tried to post this for two days now, and I keep walking away from the computer before I see that it’s failed to post. Derp.)
