Hoo boy, this new job is taking a lot out of me. Even with shortened shifts, three days in a row left me exhausted. It’s going to take some getting used to.
But April is coming up quick, so I did some prep work today. Since with Camp NaNoWriMo, you can tailor your challenge to your project, I’m going to finished the third draft of my damn manuscript. So I took the number of pages that I have left to rewrite and divided by 30…sort of. I have some handwritten pages inserted into the typed manuscript.
Turns out I’d underestimated how many handwritten pages I had. According to my math, I should do 12 pages a day to be done in 30 days. When I actually grouped the pages into “days,” I was left with an extra 13 pages. Oops.
So I’m just gonna do a double dose one day, I guess. I’m not re-counting all those pages. With my luck, I’ll just get them mixed up.
Back to work on that bothersome short story, I guess.
Only a few more days before the results for the first round of NYC Midnight’s short story competition are posted!
